Town of Reading Meeting Minutes e'e'n+ron Board - Committee - Commission - Council: Board of Library Trustees Date: 2016-10-13 Time: 8:15 PM Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Conference Room Address: 16 Lowell Street Purpose: Session: Attendees: Members - Present: Alice Collins, Cherry Dubois, David Hutchinson, Vicki Yablonsky Members - Not Present: John Brzezenski, Andrew Grimes Others Present: Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Alice Collins Topics of Discussion: Meeting called to order 8:15 pm Dubois moved to approve October 5, 2016 minutes; Yablonsky 2nd; with all approving. Proposed questions for the three finalists were reviewed and prioritized within each category as assigned to Board Member. First topic: Financial Management and Advocacy presented by Hutchinson. Four questions were proposed. After some discussion, #3 and #4 were combined. Second topic: Creativity; C. Dubois presented her questions as related to all aspects of position. Third topic: Technology, presented by Yablonsky. Again, 4 questions proposed with 2 being combined resulting in 3 questions. Judi Perkins, HR Director, will schedule the 3 finalists to interview in first week of November. Candidates will be asked to submit writing sample prior to interview. V. Yablonsky will prepare the question for the writing sample response. They will also be given a "task" to present at time of interview which will be prepared by Brzezenski. Interim Director of RPL will be notified of the schedule of interviews as a tour of the building and staff reception will be required. Interviews will be open to the public. Official posting of these Interviews will allow for submittal of any questions for the candidates by the public in advance. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 pm. s ectfu11 submit d Alice Collins Page 1 1
