Execut&V _Ision Meeting of august 26, A& Page 1
The Board of Selectmen convened in Executive Session in the
Executive Offices at 11: 20 P.M. to discuss land taking negotiations with
Davis and TASC. Present were Chairman Landers, Vice-Chairman Ziegler,
Secretary Nigro and Board Members Russell and Graham. Also present was
Acting Executive Secretary A.V. Fletcher, P.E.
Mr. Russell brought the Board up to date on the _appraisals
received this far on the TASU property, He added that it looks to him that
in order to solidify a taking due tot he appraisals being higher than
anticipated, we will have to have a Special Town Meeting towards the end
of September which means we should call it a week from now.
Mr. Fletcher reported that one appraisal has come in thus far on
the Davis land.
Mr. Graham stated perhaps we should have a meeting with the TASC:
people to see where they stand,
Mr. Russell stated 4 think it is a political reality we are not
going to -ell, to Homart for less than we sold to TASC.
;fir„ Fletcher reported we have profiled the road and are well into
the borings across the street. T don't thin: we can afford to go past
October l.st or we are going to severely hurt the construction time. l
think the suggestion of a meeting with TASC is a good one,
Mir. Russell moved, and it was seconded to adjourn the Executive
Session and the Chairman polled the Board as follows;
Mr. Graham - yes
Mr. Russell - yes
Mr. Nigro - yes
Mrs. Ziegler - yes
Mr. Landers - yes
The meeting adjourned at 11: 5 . FRMe
Respectfully submitted,
