Minutes of the Board of Selectmen Meeting
Executive Session
April 6, 1993.
The session convened at 10: 00 p.m. Present were Chairman Dan
Ensminger, Vice Chairman George Hines, Secretary Sally Hoyt,
Selectmen Eugene Nigro and Bill Burditt, Town Manager Peter I.
Hechenbleikner.
The Town Manager discussed a number of labor relations issues.
This included the fact that the DPW contract was going to fact
finding; the Engineers and Water Treatment Plant contract is
ready for signing next week; and Dispatchers contract nego-
tiations are ongoing.
The Board discussed sale of real estate. Two possibilities for
Pearl Street School were. discussed and neither was objectionable
to the Board of Selectmen. One was for a assisted living type of
senior citizen housing at the site. The other was for the use of
a non-profit condo use.
The Board discussed the landfill site. There is interest in the
hotel at the site which the Board was enthusiastic about. The
Board was not interested in leasing or selling any portion of the
site to the adjacent car dealer. The Board was also not inter-
ested in pursuing a furniture store at the site. The possibility
of a multiplex theater at the site was not rejected out of hand.
On motion by Burditt seconded by Hines the Board voted to adjourn
the Executive Session at 11:00 p.m. with all five members voting
in the affirmative.
Respectfully submitted,
secretar
