Shurland made motion to accept, seconded <br />by Costigan. Motion passed 3:0 <br />Monthly Reports <br />An inspection was performed at Bertuccfs after a customer complained of seeing insects. No <br />evidence was found at the time of inspection. Their pest management company was called and <br />provided treatment. McDonald's and Reading Petroleum continue to work on their pest control <br />issues. <br />Jordan's is interested in selling fudge and will be submitting a proposal to do so. Starbuck's has <br />inquired about the use of nitrogen in the cold brew of their coffee. Cold brew is ground coffee <br />steeped in cool, filtered water, then brewed for about 20 hours. Thirty-nine temporary food <br />permits were issued for the Fall Street Faire. <br />MSPCA received a complaint at Bed & Biscuit, 271 Main Street, conducted an inspection on <br />August 16' and found unsanitary conditions and 101 dogs on the premises that day. The <br />kennel license issued from the town does not have a capacity limit. The facility was last <br />inspected in January by Joan Vitale. Future commercial kennel inspections will now be <br />conducted by Ron Burns, Animal Control Officer in accordance with Chapter 140. <br />On August 18, mosquitoes in Reading tested positive for West Nile Virus. A press release was <br />issued, sent to the Chronicle and posted on the website. <br />Page 1 1 <br />
