READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes _of_the <br />(W The Reading Housing Authority <br />January 12, 1987 at 7:30 P.M. <br />Town of Reading, Massachusett <br />properly posted in accordance <br />_Meeting_of_January_12,_1987 <br />met in regular session on Monday, <br />at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the <br />S. Notice of this meeting had been <br />with the By -laws. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. <br />Those members also present and forming a quorum were: Ms. Swain <br />and Mr. White. Ms. Plansky, the Executive Director, was also pre-sent. <br />The board welcomed Mr. William Mcisaac to-the Board. As the new <br />State appointee, Mr. Mcisaac will serve until 1991. <br />Minutes: <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. White and seconded by Ms. Swain, it <br />was unanimously <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of November 24, 1986, copies of which had been previously distributed <br />to the members for their review. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Finances <br />CWUpon a motion duly made by Ms. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it <br />was unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve and pay check /billroll for 667 -C in the amount of <br />$15,573.87. To accept for the record the monthly financial statement, <br />as corrected. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />The Board requested that the payment of $5511.90 be made to 705, the <br />payment of $7029.34 be made to.the Town of Reading Contributory Re- <br />tirement system; and that the Director and Chairman determine what <br />amount could be transferred to MMDT -667 account. <br />The Director reported on the problems encountered with the new HUD <br />policy of holding subsidy payments for the local housing authorities <br />until the 1st of the Month. The Authority has requested that HUD <br />directly wire our money to BayBank to insure coverage of landlord <br />payments, which are scheduled for the..lst under the HAP agreement. The <br />Director will transfer funds to cover the payments until the direct <br />wiring of funds from HUD has commenced, <br />Upon a motion duly made by Ms. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it <br />was unanimously <br />VOTED: To close out the Mass. Bank 689 account and open an MMDT account <br />with those funds. <br />,,. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. White and seconded by Ms. Swain, it was <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To authorize the Chairman to sign the amended Contract for <br />Financial Assistance which increases the 705 grant amount from $390,0.00, <br />to $737,000 for the 6 units of family housing. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />
