READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />(W Minutes of the Meeting of November 24, 1986. <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, November 24, <br />1986, at 7:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, <br />Massachusetts. Notice of this meeting had been properly posted in accordance <br />with the By;-;laws. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those members <br />also present and forming a quorum were: Ms. Swain and Mr. White. Ms. Plansky, <br />the Executive Director, was also present. <br />Minntpc <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. White and seconded by Ms. Swain, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />October 27, 1986, copies of which had been previously distributed to the <br />members for their review. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Finances <br />Upon a motion duly made by Ms. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it was unanimously <br />(W VOTED: To approve and pay check /billroll for 667 -C in the amount of $12,030.85. <br />To accept for the record the monthly financial statement, as presented. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />The Board then reviewed the adjustment factor of 3% as the requested increase <br />for trash removal as contracted with Robert C. Hiltz contractors. The Authority <br />is currently paying $151.67 per month for trash removal. The adjustment figures <br />to be approximately $4.55. <br />Upon a motion duly made by Ms. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it was <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve a 3% increase in the trash removal contract, effective <br />July 1, 1986 (in accordance with the original contract with the Town of <br />Reading) for trash removal service from the Frank D. Tanner Drive development, <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />The Board then reviewed the self- insurance portion of unemployment compen- <br />sation, as currently in effect with the Authority. After some discussion and <br />upon a motion duly made by Ms. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it was <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To continue the policy of self- insurance for unemployment compensation <br />for the Authority. Under these terms, the Authority will be responsible on <br />a dd.11ar- for - dollar basis for any claims made against the Authority for wages <br />in compliance with the regulations for unemployment compensation. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />
