AC01&".L11%& XX%JU1mA1&V%a AU l- JL t <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting-- July 14, 1980 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, July 14, <br />1980 at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts, at <br />7 :30 P.M. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those <br />members also present were Mr. White, and Mr. Ogden, forming a quorum. Mrs. <br />Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. White and seconded by Mr. Ogden, it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Secretary's Report for the regular <br />meeting held June 10, 1980, copies of which had previously been mailed to all <br />members. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Ogden and seconded by Mr. White, it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To approve and pay checks and bills, a list of which is atta hod <br />hereto and made a part of these Minutes and sent previously to all members, <br />the amount of $7,301.38 for 667 -C. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect, a:nd <br />the checks were signed. <br />(W At this time, Mrs. Pierce distributed among the members, copies of the: <br />Operating Statement for the final quarter of this current fiscal year. It was <br />noted that Operating Receipts were higher than anticipated at the Budget time <br />due to increased rents from new tenants coming in, and higher interest receipts <br />from the M.M.D.T. account than was expected. <br />However, expenses were higher mainly due to excessive electricity cos <br />The Authority hail conservatively budgetod according to E.O.C.D.'s formula in he <br />three -cat ry budget system, but thw actual amount for the year exceded the udget <br />figure by $7,000. Accordingly, thw annual deficit in actual figures was hi g er <br />than the budgeted figure, but according to E.O.C.D.'s system, they only subsi $e <br />the lower figure of the two. So the Authority will lose $3,279• <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that the balance in the BayBank Middlesecaccountl� <br />as of June 30, 1980 was $531.12 for 667-0. As of July 14, 1980 after payment� <br />of the above checks due at this time, the balance in this account shows a deficit <br />figure of $500.26. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. White and seconded by Mr. Ogden, <br />it was unanimously: <br />VOTED: To withdraw $500 from the M.M.D.T. account to cover the current <br />expenses. <br />The Chairman thermpon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect, and <br />a check was drawn and signed for this transaction. <br />1. <br />
