READING HOUSING AUTHORITY lx <br />Minutes of the Meeting of October 1 &, 1989 <br />A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housin� <br />Authority was held on October lk,, 1989, at the office of the <br />Authority, 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive, in the Town of Reading, <br />Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman <br />Richard S. Dempster. Those members present and forming a quorum <br />were: Mr. McIsaac, Mr. Sweet, Mr. Reynolds, and Ms. Galvin. <br />The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was also present. <br />Linkage Housing <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Ms. Gal in, <br />it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To affirm the vote of April 10, 1989, whereby Mr. McIsa c <br />is authorized to sign for the Authority all documentation necessary <br />in connection with the loan and purchase /sale of the Pleasant/Parker <br />Street 4- family house. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote <br />in effect. <br />The Board is hoping to pass papers on this property by October <br />21, 1989 so that the tenants can be notified and move in as soon <br />as possible thereafter. <br />I <br />The Board then considered the development with Fafard at the <br />Franklin Street location. The Executive Director will review <br />with the attorney the agreement which should be proposed to Faf�rd <br />before starting this development. <br />The Chairman then reviewed the meeting which he, the Director, <br />Town Manager and Town Planner had regarding the Purchase and <br />Sales agreement language for the linkage unit associated with <br />the Bear Hill development. After review and discussion, and <br />upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds, and seconded by Ms. <br />Galvin, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To reconsider the position previously taken and to endorse <br />the proposal to have Options 1, 2 and 4 remain: Option 1, RHA <br />purchases units at $85,000 each; Option 2, RHA given 3 units <br />and other 8 units sold below costs; Option 4, all 11 units sold <br />at $85,000 to qualified home buyers per Reading Housing Partnership <br />requirements. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote <br />in effect. <br />667 -C Modernization <br />The Board reviewed the Close -out documents as presented by the <br />Architect, Jeffrey J. Cook and his associate, Douglas Manley. <br />The work has been complete and after discussion, and upon a motion <br />duly made by Mr. Sweet and seconded by Mr. Reynolds, it was unanimously <br />
