Aun-CR I TY <br />Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting - August 16, 1987 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, August 16, 19 7, <br />at 7:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. <br />Notice of this rreeti.ng .had been properly posted in accordance with the By -laws <br />and the Open Meeting Law. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chaimian, Mr. Dempster. Those menbers <br />also present and forming a quorum were: Mr. White, Mr. Reynolds and Mr. M1cIsaac. <br />Ms. Plansky, the Executive Director, was also present. There were two citizens <br />present for the meeting or a portion thereof: Ms. Virginia Adams; Mr. William <br />Chopelas. <br />Minutes <br />Upon a rrotion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Mclsaac,;it was <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To accept for the record the minutes of the regular meeting of July 7, <br />1987. Copies of these minutes had been previously distributed to .the Board for <br />their review. <br />The Chairmen then declared said motion carried and said vote in efffect. <br />Request for Proposals - Department of Mental Health <br />A new funding round for housing development has been issued by the Executive <br />Office of Ccrnmunities and Development (ECCD). The Massachusetts Department <br />for <br />of Mental Health (CMi) is seeking to develop additonal housing stock <br />is: Melrose, <br />mental health patients under this proposal. The targeted area <br />for housing developme <br />t <br />Stoneham and /or Reading. Kathy Bovey, the coordinator <br />'i`s to develop Mi housing with. this Authority <br />and <br />for the northern region seeking <br />with the Board at their 'earliest possible convenience. Ater <br />would like to meet <br />the required'staffing needed to develop /rrain- <br />scan discussion and concern about <br />housing, the Board proposed an October meeting, if possible. In the <br />within <br />the <br />tain such <br />meantime, further investigation as to the needs- requircimnts, housing <br />be and sent to the.Board. <br />caYminity for this population will acquired <br />705 Development - Encroachment <br />Mfr. After some discussion, <br />detail: <br />f_o .lowing inforrret ion. be.obtained in more <br />- Cost to replace pool; <br />with related costs; <br />- Breakdown of .iterns . <br />Chopclas' pool for depreciation purposes <br />- Age of <br />The Board deferred further discussion on this matter. until the next Board <br />meeting. <br />
