READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting--- July2&,j988 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Thursday, July 28, <br />1988 at 8:00 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, <br />Massachusetts. Notice of this meeting had been properly posted in <br />accordance with the By -laws and Open Meeting Law. <br />The meetin called to order b the Chairman, <br />y rman, Mr. Dempster. Those <br />membe resent and forming a quorum were: Mr. White, Mr. Reynolds, and <br />Mr. Mcisaac. Ms. Plansky, the Executive Director, Jeff Cook and Doug <br />Manley from the architectural firm of Jeffrey J. Cook Architects, were <br />also present for this meeting. <br />667 Modernization Bid Award <br />The Board reviewed the general and sub -bids for the modernization <br />program at the Fronk D. Tanner Drive complex. The apparent low bidder <br />was Anchor Construction Company of Lowell, Mass. in the amount of <br />$649,000.00. The work to be done included: <br />Interior /Apartment work: <br />- move wall to accommodate larger stove; new range hood, <br />counters, sink, faucets and plumbing connections; <br />- replace floors in 667 -2 bathrooms; replace bathroom sinks with <br />new vanity sinks; <br />- refinish wood parquet floors in 6 -10 units as listed in specs. <br />- paint all walls in apartments (windows are not included in <br />painting bid). <br />Interior /Building work: <br />- Paint all walls, doors <br />- Refinish all stairs and handrails <br />- Replace broken tiles at entries with new rubber tread; <br />Exterior /Bui 1 di ng work: <br />- Replace all high trim with aluminum trim; <br />- Paint all remaining trim; <br />- Replace rotted columns at emergency entrances; <br />- New roofs on 667 -1; <br />
