READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Meeting of May 15, 1991 <br />A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housing authority <br />was held on May 15, 1991 at the office of the Authority, 22 Frankl <br />D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting <br />was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Arthur J. Reynolds, Jr., prelsiding <br />as acting Chairman . Other members present and forming a quorum sere: <br />Mr. Sweet and Ms. Galvin. The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was <br />also in attendance. <br />Minutes <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Sweet and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it <br />was unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve the minutes of the meeting of April 17, 1991 for <br />the record. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Finances <br />The Board reviewed the billroll /checkroll for the period. Upon a <br />motion duly made by Ms. Galvin and seconded by Mr. Sweet, it was <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll /billroll for the period <br />from check #3350 -3407 as presented. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Accounting Services Contract - Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Sweet <br />and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve and sign the contract for accounting services with <br />Fenton, Ewald & Associates in the amount of $564 per month. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in,eflfect. <br />Single Audit - The Executive Director reported that the auditors noted <br />no signifcant findings when they had their exit interview. The final <br />report of this audit should be forthcoming before the end of the Fiscal <br />Year (6/30/91). <br />Furlough Program The Board discussed and reviewed the options for <br />the Authority as regards the money to be sent back to the Commonwealth <br />of Massachusetts, General Fund. The Board recommended that the Authority <br />send a letter of support to Mass. NAHRO in regards to their opposing <br />the imposition of this refund to the State. The Executive Director <br />was requested to compose and forward this letter. <br />
