READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Meeting of August 8, 1991 <br />A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housing', Authority <br />was held on August 8, 1991 at 7:00 A.M. at the office of the Autiority, <br />22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. The <br />meeting was called to order at 7:00 A.M. William E. McIsaac, th <br />Chairman, presided. Those members also present and forming a qu rum <br />were: Ms. Galvin, and Mr. Reynolds. The Executive Director, Mar aret <br />Plansky, was also in attendance. The Board met to review, appro e <br />and ratify the following agenda items: <br />Linkage - Schoolhouse /Greenhouse <br />The Executive Director presented the proposal for the acquisition <br />or rental of four (4) units of elderly housing at Schoolhouse Properties <br />on Sanborn Street. The Board discussed this offer at length. As <br />there is currently a standing vote to allow both Schoolhouse/Greenhouse <br />developments to build 12 units off -site (Vote of 4/12/89), the Board <br />had to reconsider their stand on the issues. <br />Upon a motion duly made by Ms. Galvin and seconded by Mr. Reynolds, <br />it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To reconsider and rescind their April 10, 1989 vote which <br />allowed Fafard Companies in conjunction with linkage units for loth <br />Greenhouse /Schoolhouse propertiesto build 12 units off -site. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Ms. Galvin, <br />it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To return to the original agreements for both the Schoolhouse <br />and Greenhouse developments and to accept the offer of rental/purchase <br />as outlined in Fafard Companies' July 24, 1991 and August 5, 1991 <br />letters for units #303, 304, 305 and 103 at the Schoolhouse development. <br />This offer is accepted subject to final review and acceptance of the <br />units after an on -site inspection by the Board within the next seven <br />(7) days. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote inl effect. <br />The Board will meet view the apartments at 7:30 A.M. on Thursday, <br />August 8, 1991.
