I. READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Meeting of March 16, 1992 <br />A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housing <br />Authority was held on March 16, 1992 at the office of the Authorityr <br />22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with William E. McIsaa <br />presiding. Other members present and forming a quorum were: Mr. <br />Allen and Mr. Reynolds. The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was <br />also in attendance. <br />Minutes <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Mr. Reynolds <br />it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve the minutes of the meeting of February 10, 199; <br />as presented. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />effect. <br />Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Allen <br />it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll /billroll for the period <br />from check #3950 through #4015 inclusively. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />effect. <br />Computer Committee - The committee reported that they were still <br />awaiting bids on the computer specifications provided by the Auth <br />The Chairman noted that there was an outstanding vote to authoriz <br />the committee to proceed with purchasing computer sytem /software/ <br />up to $10,000. The committee will have a final report for the ne <br />Board meeting in April. <br />)rity. <br />upport <br />t <br />Lawsuit - The Reading Housing Authority and the Executive Director, <br />in her official capacity and as an individual, are being sued for <br />a civil rights claim by a Section 8 tenant. Our insurance carrier <br />HARRG authorized representation by John Greco and subesquently by <br />Curley & Curley, Martin Rooney, Esq. in this matter. Summary judgment <br />motions will be discussed before the Judge on March 18, 1992. T e <br />Board discussed the issues involved and upon a motion duly made <br />by Mr. Allen and seconded by Mr. Reynolds, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To direct the Executive Director to explore legal requir ements <br />and commitments necessary as Plaintiffs in the DeSimone, et al Vs. <br />Reading Housing Authority, et al matter currently in litigation <br />and take the appropriate course of action as facts and circumstances <br />may require. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />effect. <br />
