READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />The regular meeting of the Authority was held at the Authority <br />office on December 13, 1982. <br />William Rand, Leonard Westra and Philip R. White, Jr. were pres <br />Patricia Renzello was also present. <br />The meeting was held pursuant to a notice sent to the Authority <br />members and posted as required. Mr. Rand called the meeting <br />to order at 7:40 p.m. and presided. A quorum was present. <br />On motion of Mr. Westra, seconded by Mr. White, it was <br />VOTED: to approve the minutes of the November 9, 1982 <br />Authority meeting as circulated. <br />At this point Richard Dempster entered the meeting and presided <br />On motion of Mr. Rand, seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />VOTED: To approve the payment of the bills for the 667 -C and <br />Section 8 program and to authorize and ratify the <br />tw execution of the checks noted on the list presented <br />to the meeting. <br />Patricia Renzello reported that after payment of bills there <br />was $827.58 in the checking account. She also reported there <br />was $38,835.03 in the MMDT account plus interest. All the rent <br />had been collected in the amount of $8,484.00. <br />On motion of Mr. White, seconded by Mr. Rand, it was <br />VOTED: to accept the financial report. <br />A discussion was held with respect to the 689 -1 program. It <br />was suggested that Mrs. Pierce request the EMARC personnel invo <br />in the program to attend the Authority's next meeting to discus <br />the program, and its administration. <br />t. <br />ved <br />Patricia Renzello reported the Section 8 program had had a mana e- <br />ment review. She was told the report would contain a statement <br />that the Authority office was too small and lacked the necessary <br />privacy for interviews with applicants and that the Authority <br />should consider a new office for the Section 8 program. <br />Patricia Renzello also reported as part of the old business tha <br />the owner of the two properties on Lincoln Street was putting <br />them on the market and an inquiry of Jane Johnson indicated the <br />was no current funding available. <br />
