r <br />READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting - October 12, 1982 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Tuesday, Octobe <br />12, 1982 at 7130 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Mass <br />Notice of this Meeting had been properly posted in accordance with the By -Laws <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those <br />members also present were Mr. White, Mr. Rand and Mr. Westra, forming a quoru <br />Mrs. Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />mously: <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />September 13, 1982, copies of which had previously been mailed to all members. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Another motion was made by Mr. Westra and seconded by Mr. Rand, and unani- <br />mously: <br />VOTED& To approve and pay checks and bills for 667-0 in the amount o7 <br />$7,982.$, and for Modernization in the amount of $1,014.51, aClist,of which <br />is attached hereto and made a part of these Minutes. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Mrs. Pierce distributed to the members, copies of the first Quarterly <br />Statement for Fiscal Year 1983, based on the approved Budget, and actual expenses <br />and income for the quarter. This report was reviewed briefly, and there were <br />no significant comments. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that the balance in the BayBank Middlesex Checkin <br />Account for 667 -C was $2,130.59 as of September 30, 1982. As of the date of <br />this meeting after payment of the above checks due at this time, the balance <br />in this account is $2,873.75• The balance of the Authority's savings accoun <br />with M.M.D.T. is $16,458.69 plus interest. It was noted that all rents for <br />the month of October had been collected, totalling $8,686.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. White, and seconded by Mr. Rand, it was unani- <br />mouslys <br />VOTED: To draw a check on the BayBank Middlesex checking account in <br />the amount of $3,500 for deposit into the savings account, and.to approve the <br />Financial Report as read. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Next on the Agenda was an update on the Chapter 689 -1 Program to p <br />AV a home for retarded adults. During the month, Mrs. Pierce had obtained the <br />services of two local appraisers for the house at 74 Bancroft Avenue in Reading. <br />1. <br />
