READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />_Minutes of the Regular Meeting - September 13, 1982 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, September 13, <br />1982 at 7 :30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. <br />Notice of this Meeting had been properly posted in accordance with the By -Laws. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those mem- <br />bers also present were Mr. Westra and Mr. White, forming a quorum. Mrs. Pierc , the <br />Executive Director, was also present. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Westra and seconded by Mr. White, it was una*i- <br />mouslyt <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the Regular Meetin# o <br />July 12, and the Special Meeting of July 27, 1982, copies of which had previously <br />been mailed to all members. The Regular Meeting of August 9, 1982 had been cmicelled <br />due to lack of a quorum. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Upon another motion made by Mr. White and seconded by Mr. Westra, it <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To ratify the signing of checks and bills for 667 -C in the amount <br />of $6,696-57 on August 9, 1982, and to approve and pay bills -:due at this time in <br />the amount of $9,418.88, a list of which is attached hereto and made a part of thesi <br />ILinutes. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect, <br />the checks were signed. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that the balance in the BayBank Middlesex Checking <br />Account for 667-C was $4,208.57 as of August 31, 1982. As of the date of this <br />meeting, there remained a balance of $4,473.62. The balance in the M.M.D.T. <br />savings account was $4,856.88 plus interest. All rents for the month of September <br />were collected, totaling $8,570 plus an additional $120 for the use of Air Conditioners. <br />This was the first month of the new rents, based on the annual redetermination. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. White and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was una4i- <br />mously: <br />VOTED: To write a check on the BayBank Middlesex Checking Account in <br />amount of K,_000 to be deposited for interest in the M.M.D.T. account, and to, <br />cept the Financial Report as read. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that approval has been received from E.O.C.D. on <br />Contract for Financial Assistance on Project 689 -1 for the purchase of a home <br />house retarded citizens. Accordingly, a check for $10,000 for initial expens, <br />has been received and deposited into the new account for this Program.
