READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />(W Minutes of the Regular Meeting - June 9, 1982 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Wednesday, J <br />1982 at 7 :30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massac <br />usetts. Notice of this Meeting, which was a departure from the regularly <br />scheduled date, had been properly posted in accordance with the By -Laws. <br />In the absence of the Chairman, Mr. Johnson, the Vice - Chairman, ca <br />the meeting to order. Those members also present were Mr. Rand and Mr. We <br />forming a quorum. Mrs. Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the meeting held <br />May 10, 19$2, copies of which had previously been mailed to all members. <br />The Vice - Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />unanimously: <br />9, <br />VOTED: To approve and pay checks and bills for 667-0 in the amount <br />of $14,7 9� _r% -'and - to approve the payment later in the month of two checks <br />for items purchased through Operating Reserve funds, as listed on the attached <br />checklist which is made a part of these Minutes. <br />The Vice - Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in eff t. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported to the members that the balance in the BayBank <br />Middlesex Checking Account for 667 -C was $1,470.93 as of May 31, 1982. As of <br />the date of this meeting, after payment of the above checks due at this time, <br />the balance in the BayBank b:ccount showed a deficit of $4,613.10. The balanc <br />In the M.M.D.T. savings account was $12,815.18 plus interest. <br />It was reported also that all rents for the month of June had been <br />collected, totalling $7,905, plus an additional income towards the installa- <br />tion and use of the air conditioners of $825.00. <br />In order to cover payment of the above checks, a motion was made by <br />Mr. Weatra and seconded by Mr. Rand, and unanimously: <br />VOTED: To withdraw $5,000 from the M.M.D.T. account to be deposited <br />into the checking account, and also to accept the Financial Report as read. <br />The Vice - Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />At this time Mr. Dempster arrived, and assumed his role as Chairman f <br />the remainder of the meeting. <br />During the month, Mrs. Pierce had made telephone calls to all members <br />(W of the Authority to obtain their approval for the Continental Cablevision Coa <br />pany to install equipment in each apartment, as well as outside underground <br />cables at no cost to the Authority. This will allow any tenant who is <br />interested in the future, to tie into the system. The Board reaffirmed this <br />permission at this time. <br />1. <br />
