READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />(W Minutes of the Regular Meeting - Max 10, 1982 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, May <br />1982 at 7s30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massad <br />Notice of this Meeting had been properly posted in accordance with the By -Lai <br />10, <br />The Chairman, Mr. Dempster, called the meeting to order. Those members <br />also present were Mr. Johnson, Mr. Westra and Mr. Rand, forming a quorum. Mrs. <br />Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present. <br />imouslys <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Johnson, it was an- <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the annual meeting held <br />April 13, 1982, copies of which had previously been mailed to all members. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />imously: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Rand, it was an- <br />VOTED: To approve and pay checks and bills for 667 -C in the amount of <br />$10,203.21 and for Section 8 in the amount of $50.00. A list of these checks had <br />been previously mailed to all members, and are attached and made a part of these <br />(W Minutes. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that as of April 30, 1982, the balance in the Bay- <br />Bank checking account for 667 -C was $804.33. As of the date of this meeting, <br />with all the above checks deducted, a deficit balance of $1,413.88 showed in <br />this account. The balance in the M.X.D.T', savings account was $14,654.91. All <br />rents for the month of May had been collected, in the amount of $7,985.00. <br />At this time, a motion was made by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. <br />and unanimouslys <br />VOTED: To withdraw $2,000.00 from the savings account and deposit i <br />into the 667-C BayBank account to pay current bills, and to accept the Financ <br />Report as read. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect, <br />a check was drawn for signatures on the M.M.D.T. account. <br />The subject of the Modernisation Funded Projects was: again a topic o <br />discussion. Pursuant to last month's meeting, Mrs. Pierce again contacted th <br />Alarm Specialists who had come to quote on the job of installing new smoke <br />detectors. As expected, both had declined to bid stating that the current <br />equipment which is manufactured by Simplex, would not be compatible with their <br />type of detectors and their installation. In the meantime, Simplex had updat, <br />their original bid of $4,337 which is now a year old, to an increased price of <br />$5.069.76 for this job. <br />if <br />
