<br />Minutes of the Regular Meetin& - February 16, 1982
<br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Tuesday, Febru
<br />1982 at 7:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachus
<br />This date was a departure from the regularly scheduled date, but notice of this
<br />had been posted accordingly, as stated in the By -Laws.

<br />The Chairman, Mr. Dempster, called the meeting to order. Those members also
<br />present were Mr. Westra, Mr. Rand and Mr. Johnson, forming a quorum. Mrs. Pierc ,
<br />the Executive Director, was also present.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Johnson, and
<br />y To accept for the record, the Minutes of the regular meeting he on
<br />January 2 , 1982, copies of which had previously been mailed to all members.
<br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Rand and seconded by Mr. Johnson, it was
<br />VOTED: To approve and pay checks and bills for 667 -C in the amount of
<br />$13,581. for Section 8 in the amount of $1,013.47, a list of which had beer
<br />previously mailed to all members, and are attached hereto and made a part of then
<br />Minutes.
<br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect.
<br />Mrs. Pierce reported that the balance in the BayBank Middlesex Checking
<br />�rccount for 667-0 was $787.48 as of January 31, 1982. Inasmuch as the meeting
<br />date was late this month, it was necessary for her to withdraw $6,000 on February
<br />12, 1982 from the M.M.D.T. account to cover the electric bill and obtain the dis-
<br />count involved. Therefore, a vote to ratify this action was in order. This
<br />left a balance in the MMDT savings account, after this withdrawal of $13,686.09
<br />plus interest.
<br />After payment of all the checks due at this time, there remained a b
<br />in the BayBank Checking account of $1,146.50. All rents for the month of Fe
<br />had been collected, totalling $7,669.00.
<br />At this time, a motion was made by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Rand,
<br />and unanimously:
<br />VOTED: To ratify the signing of a check to withdraw $6,000 from the M.1
<br />account and posited to the 667 -c checking account, and to accept the Financial
<br />Report as read.
<br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect.
<br />At this point in the meeting, Patricia Rensello entered to discuss with
<br />the Board, some aspects of the Section 8 Program. First of all, she reported tht
<br />under the existing program, 54 of the 55 units Reading has allocated to them, are
<br />,pow under lease, with one certificate pending. Of the 54, 32 units are rented tc
<br />families, 20 units to elderly and the Reading Housing Authority is the Issuing HOE
<br />two units, one in Lynn and one in Medford, under the Mobility Program.
