READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />(W Minutes of the Regular Meeting_ _ January 12, 1981 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, Jan <br />12, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, <br />Massachusetts. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those <br />members also present were Mr. White, Mr. Westra and Mr. Johnson, forming a <br />quorum. Mrs. Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the regular meeting <br />held on December 8, 1980, copies of which had previously been mailed to all <br />members. The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote ir. <br />effect. <br />Upon a motion made by 0. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Westra, it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To approve and pay checks and bills in the amount of $7,8_52.', <br />for 667-0 and to ratify the signing of checks in the amount of $1,260.12 for- <br />Section 8. A listing of these checks is attached hereto and made a part of <br />(W these Minutes, and had been previously mailed to all members. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that as of this date, the balance in the BayBank <br />checking account, with the payment of the above bills, is $154.80. However, <br />it was decided not to withdraw any money from the savings account at this tim( <br />inasmuch as there were no outstanding bills which Mrs. Pierce could foresee <br />would have to be paid before deposit of the rents in February. <br />The balance in the M.M.D.T. savings account was $28,041.86 plus in <br />It was also reported that all rents for the month of January had been coll <br />totalling $6,748. Two apartments which were vacated during the past month <br />not included in the January rent and will be occupied by Februrary 1st. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vestra and seconded by Mr. Vhitq it was <br />unanimously: <br />VOTED: To accept the Financial Report as read. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Copies of the second quarter Operating Statement were distributed at <br />this time, and reviewed by the Board. Mr. Westra was interested in the savinE <br />if any, in fuel consumption over last year during this same time period, due i <br />the installation of the attic insulation recently. Mrs. Pierce was asked to c <br />tain figures from Rick Heym of Envirodesign on the savings based on the degre( <br />days during the period from October through December of last year, as compares <br />to the same period this year. <br />Everything else in the Statement seemed to be running along as <br />in the Budget. <br />1. <br />
