READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />The regular meeting of the Housing Authority was held at the Authority office <br />on Frank Tanner Drive on December 10, 1984. <br />William Rand, Leonard Westra, Patricia Swain were present with Richard Dempster <br />presiding. Patricia Renzello was also present. <br />It was moved and seconded that P. Swain would serve as acting secretary in the <br />absence of Janet Pierce. <br />Mr. Rand moved, Mr. Westra seconded that the Secretary Report be accepted. <br />Mr. Rand moved, Mr. Westra Seconded that the payment of bills, listing enclosed <br />with minutes, be accomplished. <br />P. Renzello reported that all rents had been collected and that one unit was <br />empty until 1/1/85. <br />Regarding the 705 program - The general concensus among attending membees' was that <br />the Waverly Road land is the most logical for building the six units. yb 4k <br />Dempster reported that the town warrant will be opened and closed on February 4, <br />and a special Town Meeting will be held on February 25. It is hoped that the <br />town will willingly donate the land to the Housing Authority. Dick Dempster to <br />ask BPW where the utilities are located (at the Waverly Road site), go to the <br />Selectmen and get the article on the Town Meeting warrant for obtaining the land. <br />It was felt there would be no problem with abuttor(s). Because of the existence <br />of ledge, probably there would be no basements in the units. Would be a omprehensive <br />permit. Question was asked: What is "S" zoning? Would spot zoning be involved? <br />Mr. Westra moved, Mr. Rand seconded the motion that Mr. Dempster go to the Select- <br />men for the purpose of obtaining the said piece of property. Felt he would need a <br />picture of the type of building that might be erected there to show the Selectmen. <br />689 - Discussed letter from Steve Spinetto regarding the house on Bancrof Pat <br />Renzello was requested to ask J. Pierce to check to see if John Walker di meet <br />the December 3 deadline mentioned in the letter. <br />There was some discussion about the swimming pool. What is meant by "mothballing" <br />term. Mr. Westra proposed that we review minutes on pool at preceding meetings, <br />and P.
