READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting-- May 14, 1984 <br />The Reading Housing Authority not in regular session on Monday, May 14, <br />1984 at 7:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. <br />Notice of this meeting had been properly posted in accordance with the By -laws. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Vice - Chairman, Mr. Yestra, in the <br />absence of the Chairman. Those other members present were Mr. White and Mrs. <br />Swain, forming a quorum. Mrs. Pierce, the Executive Director, was also present <br />A motion was made by Mr. White and seconded by Mrs. Swain, and unanimously: <br />VOTED: To accept for the record, the Minutes of the Regular and Annual <br />Meeting held on April 11, 1984, copies of which had previously been mailed to all <br />members. <br />The Vice- Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />A motion was then made by Mr. White and seconded by Mrs. Swain, and unani- <br />mously: <br />VOTEDs To approve and pay checks and bills for 667-0 in the amount of <br />$12,834-.1.5 for 667-0 and to ratify the signing of checks for the Section 8 Progia�m <br />in the amount of $3,4435• <br />Le <br />Vice - Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. <br />Mrs. Pierce reported that the balance in the BayBank Middlesex Checking <br />Account for 667-0 was $8,193.63 as of April 30, 1984. As of May 14, 1984 afte <br />payment of the above cheds due at this time, the balance in the BayBank account <br />was $743.27. The balance in the M.M.D.T. Saving Account was $5,627.30 plus <br />-I <br />interest. It was also reported that all rents had been collected for the month <br />of May, totalling $8,792.00, for 667-0. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Swain and seconded by Mr. White, it was unanll- <br />mously: <br />VOTED: To accept the FinanciAl Report as read. <br />The Vice - Chairman thereupon declared said motion carried and said vote in effect; <br />The Quarterly Operating Statement for the period ended March 31, 1984 was <br />reviewed by the members at this time, and found to be consistent with the figures <br />anticipated for this period. <br />The Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) by and between the Executive Office <br />of Communities do Development and the Reading Housing Authority for the Chapter 707 <br />Rental Assistance Program was brought before the Board for approval. <br />This Contract covered the leasing of 4 family units and one elderly unit <br />or the year beginning January 1, 1984, in the amount of $21,600. Mrs. Pierce ex- <br />fined that she had contacted E.O.C.D. concerning this Contract inasmuch as the <br />1. <br />
