READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />' MINUTES OF THE Regular BOARD MEETING, May 2. 2011 <br />A regular business meeting of the Reading Housing Authority was held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 5:30 <br />P.M at the office of the Reading Housing Authority the town of Reading, Mass. The meeting was called <br />to order at 5:35 P.M. with the Chair, Diane Cohen, presiding. Those members present and forming a <br />quorum were Timothy Kelley, Kevin Mulvey, Karen L. Flammia and Mary Connors well as the <br />Secretary/Executive Director, Lyn Whyte. <br />Minutes Move Tim Second Mary Vote 5-0 <br />11-62 VOTED: To accept for the record the Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting of April 4, 2011, <br />as presented. <br />Minutes Move Tim Second Mary Vote 5 -0 <br />11 -63 VOTED: To accept for the record the Minutes of the Special Business Meeting of April 13, 2011, <br />as presented <br />Finances Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 <br />11 -64 VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll/billroll for the period for Accounts Payable Check <br />#3378 -3419 Payroll Summary as presented for April 2011. Section 8 Voucher Program, #5959 -6050 <br />as presented. <br />Finances Move Tim Second Mary Vote 5 -0 <br />11 -65 VOTED: To certify receipt of monthly operating statements for all RHA programs for the month <br />end March, 2011 of the current fiscal year. <br />Personnel Matters: <br />- Katelyn Veglia has been attending available Section 8 training, as they become available. <br />- Executive Director and Katelyn will be attending additional training for the state Capital Planning <br />System that is scheduled to go live soon. This system will track state properties and all work done in <br />each and every unit on a regular and ongoing basis. Training is free and being offered locally. <br />Report of Programs: <br />Vacancy Report- Mitch Hudzik, State Program Coordinator provided her monthly report. . <br />Sec 8 Report- <br />- Resident Service Coordinator- Current Tannerville Newsletter provided. <br />Update: Summer/Main insurance claim as a result of storm damage has been paid. All necessary work <br />has been completed and all insurance payments have been received in this regard. The out of pocket <br />expenses for the HA was $500 in this regard. <br />- Update: Bancroft and Tannerville insurance claim for storm damages. All work is complete; however, <br />RHA has only received a partial insurance payment for these damages. A certificate of completion <br />' was signed by the insurance adjuster and DHCD Construction Advisor and forwarded to the insurance <br />company for approval of final payments to the housing authority. Executive Director will follow up. <br />All deductibles were waived because the claim exceeded $10,000. There were no out of pocket <br />expenses for the HA in regard to this particular claim. <br />
