READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />' MINUTES OF THE Re7.ular BOARD MEETING, April 2. 2012 <br />A regular business meeting of the Reading Housing Authority was held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at <br />5:30 P.M at the office of the Reading Housing Authority the town of Reading, Mass. The meeting was <br />called to order at 5:40 P.M. with the Chair, Timothy Kelley presiding. Those members present and <br />forming a quorum were Diane Cohen, Kevin Mulvey, and Karen L. Flammia well as the <br />Secretary/Executive Director, Lyn Whyte. Mary Connors was absent <br />Minutes Move Karen Snood Diane Vote 4-0 <br />12 -56 VOTED: To accept for the record the Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting of March 5, <br />2012 as presented. <br />Finances Move Karen Second Diane Vote 4-0 <br />12 -57 VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll/billroll for the period for Accounts Payable <br />Check #3956 -3986 Payroll Summary as presented for March, 2012. Section 8 Voucher Program, <br />#6937 -7022 as presented. <br />Finances Move Karen Second Kevin Vote 4 -0 <br />12 -58 VOTED: To certify receipt of monthly operating statements for all RHA programs for the <br />month end February, 2012 of the current fiscal year. <br />Personnel Matters: <br />None at this time <br />Report of Programs: <br />- Vacancy Report- Mitch Hudzik, State Program Coordinator provided her monthly report. One <br />Elderly unit was vacated this month in building 30. The unit was renovated with the installation <br />of a new kitchen and bath upgrade. A Reading resident has been leased up in this unit from our <br />wait list. No additional elderly vacancies expected at this time. We will have a family unit available <br />as of March 31. Our plans are to install a new kitchen at that location before leasing that unit. At this <br />time, it appears that a Reading family will be assisted from our current wait list. <br />- Sec 8 Report- Kathy Rolli provided the Board with an update on our Section 8 program. Two new <br />Participants are being leased as of April 156. We have four vouchers that have been issued but the <br />potential applicants have not located suitable housing. Efforts are being maintained to remain fully <br />leased. <br />- Resident Service Coordinator- Current Tannerville Newsletter provided. <br />New Business: <br />- No new business at this time. <br />Real Estate Matter: <br />' - 1004 Gazebo Circle: This particular affordable unit remains on the market with no sale pending. <br />Owner will keep RHA posted on any changes. <br />
