MASS. <br />Board - Committee - Commission - Council: <br />Historical Commission Iolb jum °9 P 5; 29 ! <br />Date: 2016 -04 -26 Time: 7:30 PM <br />Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Berger Room <br />Address: 16 Lowell Street Session: Open Session <br />Purpose: Demolition Delay Hearing for 309 Version: Final <br />Haven St and General Business Meeting <br />Attendees: Members - Present: <br />Chair: Carl Mittnight (CM) <br />Secretary: Sharlene Reynolds Santo (SRS) <br />Member: Ron Weston (RW) <br />Jack Williams (JW) <br />Associates: Virginia Adams(VA) <br />Members - Not Present: <br />Jonathan Barnes <br />Others Present: <br />Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Sharlene Reynolds Santo <br />Topics of Discussion: <br />M 0 <br />Called to order at 7:30 pm originally scheduled for the Town Hall <br />Call to Order Conference Room but due to an earlier meeting the RHC meeting <br />was moved to the Berger Room. <br />CM was there when the company from Hadley came to salvage some <br />items and they removed many components with the owner's <br />309 Haven St <br />permission. They may return for the front door just before it is <br />demolished so far we do not know when demolition will occur. <br />Spoke about how to publicize the RHC working with David O'Sullivan <br />a local architect who designed the renovations at MF Charles. <br />Another idea was during the Garden Club's annual sale May 14 "' <br />Preservation <br />Have a booth that we could relate to preservation. CM & VA are <br />Month <br />available to be there that day, but others will be available to help <br />prepare. CM moved that RHC spend up to $200.00 on materials in <br />preparation of this event. JW seconded Vote 4 -0. <br />Historic New <br />CM & VA plan to attend a Workshop in May SRS moved to pay up to <br />England <br />$25.00 per person to cover expenses of attending May seminar RW <br />Workshop <br />seconded Vote 4 -0. <br />JW had an example of a map from the Library of Congress. There is <br />a fee for disks of each section. SRS Moved to spend up to $300.00 <br />Maps <br />for 5 Sanborn digital maps from the library of Congress plus shipping <br />CM seconded Vote 4 -0 JW will take care of this. <br />Lobs Pound Mill <br />Received letter from MHC <br />Reading Village <br />No response to the RHC letter against the current plan <br />Archives <br />VA & CM continue to organize <br />Page 1 1 <br />
