Meade made motion to accept, <br />seconded by Singer. Approved 3:0 <br />Monthly Report <br />Out of the 30 doses of shingles vaccine provided free from state health department, 24 <br />shots have been given. <br />Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, 610 Main Street, opened in December. <br />Clay will be working with IT Department to get the electronic food inspection program up <br />and running. <br />Clay advised that some communities are looking into revising their tobacco regulations to <br />increase the age to purchase tobacco products to 19 or 21. A joint Board of Health meeting <br />of Reading, Melrose and Wakefield will be held in February and Maureen Buzby will provide <br />information. <br />Hallmark Health was awarded a grant for $750,000 to look at use of opiate medication for <br />back pain. <br />Friedmann inquired if RCASA could provide an overview of treatments for substance abuse. <br />Clay will invite Erica McNamara to attend March board meeting. <br />Clay advised that MSPCA at Nevins Farms will no longer be available for animal disposal. A <br />freezer has been purchased and Installed at the DPW garage. L. Russo will continue to pick <br />up animals and bring to garage.
