Docktor made motion to accept, seconded <br />by Shurland. Motion passed 3:0 <br />Monthly Report <br />Pierce presented report. She explained the notification process for one case and its follow <br />up. The case was referred to the Stoneham Public Health Nurse for follow up as Reading <br />presently does not have the required vaccine if necessary. <br />DiLauro advised that 23 food establishment inspections were performed. He met with both <br />inspectors to discuss frequency of Inspections. Establishments considered low risk; i.e., <br />gas stations, will only require a yearly inspection, allowing the focus to be on restaurants. <br />Tickets were Issued to Cafe Capri, $300, for repeated critical and non - critical violations. <br />The Reading Fall Street Faire went well. An SOP will be created for vendors participating in <br />next year's Faire. <br />DiLauro met with Maureen Buzby, who will continue as Reading's Tobacco Control <br />Coordinator for eight more months. After that time Reading will fall under the Jurisdiction of <br />the Greater Lawrence Tobacco Control Coalition. Docktor requested to have Buzby return <br />with the data collected from Winchester regarding the ban on Flavored e- cigarettes and <br />chewing tobacco. DiL.auro will visit Liquor Junction where it was reported that samples of <br />flavored e- cigarettes were being sampled and returned to the shelf. <br />Page I 1 <br />
