Singer made motion to accept, <br />seconded by Meade. Approved 2:0 <br />Designation of Burial Agent <br />The Massachusetts Registry of Vital Records and Statistics will transition the current paper <br />death certificate process to an electronic death registration system, with the initiating of a <br />new system of electronic burial permits in 2014. Burial permits are presently issued by <br />Health Department staff. Clay met with Town Clerk, Laura Gemme to discuss the possibility <br />of designating town clerk staff as burial agents. They presently use an electronic system for <br />birth certificates. Meade made motion to appoint Laura Gemme, Joan Peterson, Julia <br />Rodger and Heather Tate as burial agents. Motion seconded by Singer. Approved 3:0 <br />Oye's <br />Senior Health Inspector, Jennifer Keough advised the health director of the repeated <br />number of critical violations having occurred at Oye's since having a consultant back in <br />2012. A letter was sent to Mr. Ye on October 10, 2013 requesting his attendance at the <br />next scheduled Board of Health meeting and fines were subsequently Issued in the amount <br />of $350 for repeated critical and other violations. After discussing the situation regarding <br />the repeated violations with Mr. Ye and staff, Friedmann proposed that additional <br />Inspections be performed, maximum fines be imposed If repeated violations occur with the <br />possibility of non - renewal of their permit to operate. Clay will send follow up letter to Oye's. <br />336 Pearl Street <br />Jay Kimball, representing Susan Fiorello of 22 Irving Street requested that the property <br />owner of 336 Pearl Street put composting material into a bin in the backyard because it was <br />attracting rodents. Friedmann advised that he had visited the site and noted they were <br />composting but was unable to see evidence of rodent burrowing as it was getting dark. <br />Page 1 1 <br />
