Meade made motion to accept, <br />seconded by Singer. Approved 3:0 <br />Health Directors Report <br />Pizza World will be relocating to 306 Main Street, a site which has groundwater petroleum <br />products contamination. They have submitted their plan review application. The Health <br />Department will be working closely with Conservation and Building during development of <br />the site. Friedmann will look Into the status with DEP. <br />Other business and items not reasonably anticipated at the time of posting: <br />Clay began discussion of proposed regulations that would prohibit the sale of drug <br />paraphernalia, not including rolling papers. She will look Into other communities that have <br />this regulation and also discuss with Erica McNamara of RCASA. <br />Clay advised the Reading Fall Street Faire went well. Permits were issued to 28 vendors. <br />Friedmann opened discussion on the use of tetrachlorethylenes in the dry cleaning business <br />and the possibility of future businesses converting to the use of less toxic chemicals. There <br />is growing concern for employees being exposed and those in surrounding businesses that <br />may also be exposed and the potential link to an increase in cancer rates. Clay will find out <br />whether other communities are pursuing these issues. <br />Due to restrictions in the Health Revolving Fund primarily for flu clinic use only, the issue <br />will be brought before Town Meeting in the spring to broaden the use of such funds. <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm. <br />Materials distributed: <br />Agenda <br />Page I 1 <br />
