This refers to the Reading Summerfest Application, where they give out <br />their profits to other groups. If there are profits, they are given to other groups. This constant taking from the fund <br />will eventually drain the account. We would like to keep the trust going for future town wide events. <br />Frank Kyle made a motion to give seed money, in the amount of $1,000.00, to Reading Summerfest with the <br />stipulation that the seed money of $1,000.00 be returned to the Celebration Trust prior to the disbursement of any <br />donations. <br />Kurt Habel 2nd <br />Vote 5 -0 -0 in favor of the grant. <br />Discussion of Coolidge Gardens Committee application. The only part of their event that seemed to fit the trust <br />guidelines, was the reception. <br />Habel made a motion to fund the Coolidge Gardens Committee for the reception of the Garden tour of <br />Reading, in the amount of $225.00. If the event does not go on, the money. ($225.00) will be retuned to the <br />Celebration Trust. <br />Bill McLaughlin 2nd <br />Vote 4 -0 -1 in favor of the grant. Everrett Blodgett Abstained. <br />Everrett Blodgett made a motion to make an amendment to the Reading Summerfest funding, that if the fireworks <br />do not go on, the seed money ($1,000.00) will be returned to the Celebration Trust. <br />Kurt Habel 2"d <br />Vote 5 -0 -0 in favor of the amendment <br />Discussion of the missing $7,000.00 from the Millenium Celebration. $5,000.00 was held back by Celebrations, <br />Inc. in case any surprise bills came due. There was also a grant that Celebrations, Inc. applied for $2,000.00 from <br />the Cultural Council ?. The money was to cover some production at the Millennium Event. We would like to find <br />out what happened to the $7,000.00. Charlie Peacock is the current Treasurer of Celebrations, Inc.
