Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes <br />• Earth Day - April 25th event at RMLD. <br />• Laurie Ann reviewed the list of invited and confirmed participants. Since our <br />last meeting, IBEW local 103, an energy auditing firm called Strategic <br />Serendipity, and a pellet stove company, M &M Chimney, have confirmed. <br />Gina asked Laurie Ann to provide information on all the presenters, so that <br />she can include this information in Green Sense for April 17. <br />• Ray Porter volunteered to have an information table about his ground- source <br />geothermal system and home energy efficiency upgrades. <br />• RMLD will issue a press release about the Earth Day event <br />• Laurie Ann will put together the table lay -out. <br />• Laurie Ann will send out email welcoming all participants with details about <br />directions, parking, size of tables, whether they need electricity and whether <br />they are bringing any large display. <br />• Committee members should plan to be at RMLD from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. on <br />Saturday. Set -up will begin at 9 a.m. On Friday afternoon, April 24, after 3 <br />p.m., Laurie Ann could use some help arranging tables. <br />Adopt -an- Island. The Garden Club Adopt -an- Island program kick -off is scheduled <br />for Thursday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in the Reading Senior Center. Joan and Ray plan to <br />attend. <br />Friends and Family Day. The committee discussed and voted not to participate in <br />the Reading Friends and Family Day event in June this year, but will consider <br />participating again in future years. Ron will respond to the event organizer. <br />• Walk Reading Weekend. Gina announced that the 2nd annual Walk Reading <br />Weekend, sponsored by Walkable Reading, will be held on May 30 -31. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br />Page 1 2 1013 -c9 "' <br />
