Committee Chairman, Adam Chase, Recreation Committee Vice Chair, Dan Foley, Rec Committee Member, Nancy -Linn Swain, Rec. Committee Member, Jeanne Borawski, School Committee Rep., Kate Kaminer, Rec. Committee Member, John Feudo, Recreation Director Members - Not Present: Mike DiPietro Others Present: Genevieve Fiorente Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: John Feudo Topics of Discussion: R. Hand opened the meeting at 7:10 PM. The committee did not meet in December or January. There was a page merge issue with the November minutes and they will be redistributed for approval in March. J. Feudo spoke about a personnel update. He stated he would be working more closely with Veterans Services, Human Elder Services and Health along with Recreation. He was still unsure when the position would officially take effect. The Recreation committee discussed requesting a variance for Sunday AM fields. J. Feudo recommended that the committee be proactive and seek relief from the Board of Selectmen to allow Sunday AM play at the Birch Meadow Complex and Symonds Way Baseball Field. The committee felt with such a large amount of snow had already fallen, the fields would not open until mid- April. N. Swain made a motion to recommend that the Board of Selectmen approve a variance to BOS rule 4.14.2 General Regulation Item 5, to allow for Sunday organized play beginning at 9 AM at the following locations through June 28th, 2015: Symonds Way Baseball Field, Tennis Court Field, Lighted Softball Field, Street Softball Field, Lot Field (old img. St), Synthetic Turf 2 and Hollingsworth Stadium Field. J. Borawski seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor by a vote of 6 -0 -0. J. Feudo gave a progress report on Reserve -a -Game tennis. J. Feudo discussed using the reserve a game program as an added value to the current pass program. The committee discussed the rates of the priority passes. The current rates are $10 per player, $25 per family (up to 5 passes) and $100 for Non - Residents. R. Hand felt the Non - Resident fee should be higher. A.
