Hand opened the meeting at 7:10 PM. <br />The committee did not meet in December or January. There was a page merge issue with <br />the November minutes and they will be redistributed for approval in March. <br />J. Feudo spoke about a personnel update. He stated he would be working more closely with <br />Veterans Services, Human Elder Services and Health along with Recreation. He was still <br />unsure when the position would officially take effect. <br />The Recreation committee discussed requesting a variance for Sunday AM fields. J. Feudo <br />recommended that the committee be proactive and seek relief from the Board of Selectmen <br />to allow Sunday AM play at the Birch Meadow Complex and Symonds Way Baseball Field. <br />The committee felt with such a large amount of snow had already fallen, the fields would <br />not open until mid- April. <br />N. Swain made a motion to recommend that the Board of Selectmen approve a variance to <br />BOS rule 4.14.2 General Regulation Item 5, to allow for Sunday organized play beginning at <br />9 AM at the following locations through June 28th, 2015: Symonds Way Baseball Field, <br />Tennis Court Field, Lighted Softball Field, Street Softball Field, Lot Field (old img. St), <br />Synthetic Turf 2 and Hollingsworth Stadium Field. J. Borawski seconded the motion. Motion <br />passed in favor by a vote of 6 -0 -0. <br />J. Feudo gave a progress report on Reserve -a -Game tennis. J. Feudo discussed using the <br />reserve a game program as an added value to the current pass program. The committee <br />discussed the rates of the priority passes. The current rates are $10 per player, $25 per <br />family (up to 5 passes) and $100 for Non - Residents. R. Hand felt the Non - Resident fee <br />should be higher. A. Chase agreed and felt all the rates were too low, especially if there was <br />Page i 1 <br />2013 -09 -03 <br />
