Committee, Eric Hughes, Rec. Committee Member, <br />Kate Kaminer, Rec. Committee Member, Adam Chase, Associate Member, Bernie Winne, <br />Associate Member, John Feudo, Recreation Administrator <br />Guest: Peter Coumounduros, FORR <br />M. Stolecki called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM. <br />K. Kaminer made a motion to accept the minutes from the September Rec. Committee meeting. N. <br />Swain seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor of accepting the minutes for September 15th <br />2010 by a vote of 5 — 0- 0. <br />Adam Chase entered at 7:22 PM. <br />J. Feudo introduced Pete Coumounduros from the Friends of Reading Recreation. Pete gave the <br />committee a quarterly update. He mentioned they have started a middle school cross country <br />interest program and they are partnering with the YMCA. The have already scheduled a middle <br />school cross country meet for the morning of Halloween. Mike Connelly, the HS varsity X- Country <br />Coach helped get some other towns involved. <br />Pete also mentioned that the seasonal camp out for the fall sold out this year and that Stop and Shop <br />was again one of the lead sponsors for FORR's programming. <br />E. Hughes asked about coordinating a family ski trip. J. Feudo said he would be willing to work on <br />putting something together for next year. <br />Old Business: <br />J. Feudo presented the field discipline policy and guidelines document that had been developed <br />back in 2006. The document has been updated and was distributed. There was some question of <br />who the Recreation Committee's designee would be and if anything formal should be set to address <br />that. The committee discussed the possibility of changing the language of the document. K. <br />Kaminer made a motion that the Recreation Administrator serve as the Recreation Committee's <br />designee to carry duties in accordance to the Field Use Policy and Guidelines. N. Swain seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried in favor of the motion by a vote of 5 -0 -0. <br />
