Committee <br />Member, John Feudo, Recreation Administrator <br />Members - Not Present: <br />Frank Driscoll, Mike DiPietro, Sean Whalen <br />Others Present: <br />Genevieve Fiorente, Caroline Korwin, Emma Penafiel, Grace Godwin, Alana <br />Dispanera, Chris Barlow, Brent Colson; Lorraine Salter <br />Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: John Feudo <br />Topics of Discussion: <br />R. Hand opened the meeting at 7:08 PM. <br />J. Feudo introduced several Silver Award Candidates from the Girl Scouts. They presented a <br />project called peace poles which are universal signs of peace. The group was seeking the <br />Recreation Committee input on location for the peace poles. During the presentation is was <br />stated that they had contacted the Parker Middle School Administration and they were <br />interested in having them placed in front of the School. <br />The committee felt these poles needed to be in traffic, low vandalism areas. The committee <br />thanked the girl scouts for their initiative and encouraged them to consider doing more <br />around the community. <br />M. Stolecki entered the meeting at 7:20 PM. <br />N. Swain made a motion to endorse and support troops 710290 and 758043 peace pole <br />project at Parker Middle School. K. Kaminer seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor <br />by a vote of 6 -0 -0. <br />The committee reviewed the minutes from May and February. <br />N. Swain made a motion to accept the May 2014 meeting minutes. K. Kaminer seconded <br />the motion. Motion passed in favor by vote of 6 -0 -0. <br />M. Stolecki made a motion to accept the February 2014 meeting minutes. N. Swain <br />seconded the motion.
