R JUNE 17, 2014 CONTINUATION SHEET CALL to ORDER: Chairman Golden called the meeting to order at 7 PM. The Board last met on May 20, 2014. 1. APPOINTMENTS: None. 2 MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING(S): A revised copy of the draft minutes for the Board's December 17, 2013 meeting was circulated on March 25, 2014. No changes v�ere proposed. A motion by Golden seconded by Quinn to accept the minutes as written was approved by a vote of 2-0 -1. Mr. Marshall abstained because he was not then a member of the Board. A copy of the draft minutes for the Board's May 20, 2014 meeting was circulated prior to this meeting. Some minor changes were made. A motion by Golden seconded by Quinn to accept the minutes as amended was approved by a vote of 2 -0 -1. Mr. Marshall abstained because he was unable to attend this meeting. 3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT: Mr. Santaniello reported that he had received a request from the Town Manager for the release of Overlay Funds. All remaining FY 2014 Abatement Applications Board will be presented to the Board this evening. 4. OTHER SIGNINGS: The Board signed routine Motor Vehicle Excise Tax Abatements totaling $9,215.42 ($5,448.17 + $3,570.25 + $197.00). The Board signed two FY 2014 Tax Deferral Certificates totaling $10,350.43 ($5,281.34 + $5,069.09). 5. NEW BUSINESS — EXECUTIVE SESSION: Santaniello provided the board with a schedule showing the composition of the current overlay balance and a draft letter addressed to the Town Manager. He reported that all taxpayer appeals pertaining to FY 2009 and FY 2012 have been resolved. The only cases still pending before the ATB for FY 2010 and 2011 relate to certain public utility property (Verizon). Santaniello then recommended that all remaining overlay funds for FYs 2009 and 2012 and $54,824.69 of overlay funds for FY 2013 be released. A discussion ensued.
