113 <br /> READING PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br /> Reading, Massachusetts <br /> SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> MINUTES SEPTEMBER 24 , 1985 <br /> Call to Order <br /> Chairman Allen called a meeting of the Reading School Committee to <br /> order on September 24 , 1985 , at 7:00 p. m. , in the Central Office <br /> Conference Room. Present, in addition to the Chairman, were Committee <br /> members Mr. Coco, Mrs . Philbrick and Mr. Shannon, Superintendent Wells <br /> and Assistant Superintendent Winslow. <br /> Correspondence <br /> Chairman Allen read correspondence regarding a Massachusetts Associa- <br /> tion of School Committees meeting. <br /> Five-Year Capital Outlay Plan <br /> Members then discussed at length a proposed Five-Year Capital Outlay <br /> Plan drawn up at the request of the Finance Committee, as attached. <br /> Mr . Coco moved, seconded by Mr. Shannon, and it was unanimously voted <br /> that the vehicle replacement schedule be moved up one year. <br /> Mr . Shannon moved, seconded by Mrs . Philbrick, and it was unanimously <br /> voted that Item #6 , for Chapter 504 alterations at Coolidge Middle <br /> School ( installation of lifts) , be scheduled for FY87 instead of FY88 , <br /> and that toilet remodelling at the Eaton School be changed from FY87 <br /> to FY88 (reversal of two items) . This would make it possible to have <br /> a school at each of the three levels which meets the requirements of <br /> Chapter 504 . <br /> Mr. Shannon moved, seconded by Mrs . Philbrick, and it was unanimously <br /> voted that Item #9 , (Athletic Storage Building) be exchanged with Item <br /> #11 on the list . <br /> Mr. Shannon moved, seconded by Mrs . Philbrick, and it was unanimously <br /> voted to accept and submit to the Finance Committee the proposed <br /> Five-Year Capital Outlay Plan with changes made by the above votes . <br /> Adjournment <br /> The meeting adjourned by unanimous consent at 7 : 40 p . m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> 4-41/(<20/..e-&-- <br /> Robert S.
