READING PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING <br />REGULAR SESSION MINUTES AUGUST 6, 1993 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Roberta D'Antona called the regular School Committee <br />session to order at 4 p.m. in the Superintendent's Conference <br />Room. All members were present with the exception of George <br />Shannon and Susan Cavicchi. Superintendent Robert J. The architect David Finney <br />was consulted by phone and advised that waiving of Bidder <br />Qualification Statement a non - statuatory requirement is in <br />line with Massachusetts Inspector General Guideline and <br />Statute (Ch. 149, 5.44.) <br />The School Committee on a motion by Matthew Cummings, seconded <br />by Timothy Twomey, voted 4 -0 to waive the Bidder Qualification <br />Statement for this Asbestos Removal Project. <br />Then, Matthew Cummings moved to award the Asbestos Abatement <br />Project for Joshua Eaton and Birch Meadow Schools to the <br />lowest bidder, Suburban Middlesex for the Base Bid of $110,090 <br />
