14 <br />READING PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING <br />REGULAR SESSION MINUTES 21 JUNE 1993 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Matthew Cummings called the regular meeting of the <br />Reading School Committee to order at 7:32 p.m. in the <br />Superintendent's Conference Room at 82 Oakland Road. All members <br />were present as were Superintendent Robert J. Munnelly, Interim <br />Assistant Superintendent Susan Wheltle, a reporter from the <br />Chronicle, members of the Assistant Superintendent Screening <br />Committee and several members of the community. <br />MINUTES <br />There were no minutes presented at this meeting for approval. <br />BILLS AND PAYROLLS <br />The warrant for Bills was as follows: <br />June 21, 1993 - Bills - <br />The warrant for Payrolls was as follows: <br />June 18, 1993 <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />- Biweekly - <br />$37,313.89 <br />$116,214.04 <br />There was no Citizen Input to be addressed at this meeting. <br />SUPERINTENDENV'-S:REPORT <br />Superintendent .Munnelly announced that Sally Mu.cica, a teacher at <br />Birch Meadow School, is one of eight "finalists" for Massachusetts <br />Teacher -of- the =Year. She will be interviewed at the Massachusetts <br />Department of Education this week as the selection process <br />proceeds on. <br />Dr. Munnelly' ' informed the School Committee of graduating senior <br />Philip Vaccaro, Jr's selection as a Boston Globe Scholar Athlete. <br />An impressive I writeup appeared in the Sunday Globe and each of the <br />winners were honored a an awards banquet. <br />To this date, two parents have volunteered to relocate their <br />children from Barrows fourth grade classes to other schools. The <br />School Committee has agreed to take up further discussion at its <br />June 28th meeting. <br />
