READING PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING <br />REGULAR SESSION MINUTES JUNE 13, 1994 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Roberta D'Antona called the regular School Committee <br />meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. in the Central Office Conference <br />Room. All members were present. Also present were Superin- <br />tendent Robert J. Munnelly, Assistant Superintendent Dennis <br />Richards and a reporter from the Chronicle. Approximately 80 <br />citizens were in attendance. <br />ROUTINE MATTERS <br />MINUTES <br />Matthew Cummings moved to approve the regular session minutes <br />of May 23, 1994. George Shannon seconded the motion. The <br />vote was unanimous. <br />Susan Cavicchi moved to approve the long range retreat minutes <br />of May 31, 1994. Thomas Stohlman seconded the motion. The <br />vote was 5 in favor and Matthew Cummings abstaining. <br />BILLS AND PAYROLLS <br />The warrants for Bills were as follows: <br />May <br />31, <br />1994 <br />- Bills <br />- $84,061.53 <br />June <br />6, <br />1994 <br />- Bills <br />- $46,276.44 <br />The <br />warrants <br />for Payrolls were as <br />follows: <br />May <br />20, <br />1994 <br />- Biweekly <br />- $115,618.82 <br />June <br />3, <br />1994 <br />- Biweekly <br />- $120,435.28 <br />May <br />27, <br />1994 <br />- Teachers <br />- $436,522.75 <br />CITIZENS' INPUT <br />Mr. Cummings referenced the recent Band Parent Letter that was <br />sent to parents, he informed them that if the Band Parents <br />have concerns or questions they are welcome to contact him. <br />Mr. Shannon stated if concerns were about the Band Parent <br />Organization itself then parents should address those concerns <br />to the organization. <br />Ms. Cavicchi received a call from the president of the organi- <br />zation to assure the committee that in no way did she imply in <br />
