READING PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />SCHOOL COMMITTEE MINUTES <br />REGULAR SESSION MINUTES OCTOBER 28, 1996 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Susan Cavicchi called the regular session to order in the Conference Room at 7:35 p.m. All <br />members were present. Also present were Superintendent Dr. Harry K. Harutunian, Associate <br />Superintendent Dennis Richards and Reading Memorial High School School Committee <br />Representative Marissa Freitas. <br />ROUTINE MATTERS <br />MINUTES <br />Mr. Spadafora moved to accept the minutes of September 30 1996. Mr. Stohlman seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Stohlman and Mr. Twomey made corrections that were acknowledged. The vote <br />was unanimous. <br />BILLS AND PAYROLLS <br />The warrant for bills was as follows: <br />October 7, 1996 - <br />Bills - <br />$117,670.99 <br />October 15, 1996 - <br />Bills - <br />$ 67,176.71 <br />October 21, 1996 - <br />Bills - <br />$ 87,603.48 <br />October 28, 1996 - <br />Bills - <br />$462,375.33 <br />The warrant for payrolls was as follows: <br />October 4, 1996 - <br />Biweekly <br />- $120,949.54 <br />October 18, 1996 - <br />Biweekly <br />- $152,516.68 <br />October 10, 1996 - <br />Teachers <br />- $534,782.20 <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />MEETING WITH THE FINANCE COMMITTEE - THOMAS STOHLMAN <br />Mr. Stohlman stated the Finance Committee met recently with Dr. Harutunian and himself to <br />review the quarterly reports on expenditures. It was noted everything is going as planned. <br />Dr. Harutunian advised that Special Education is a concern. <br />
