Reading Public Schools <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />SCHOOL COMMITTEE PUBLIC HEARING <br />Superintendent Selection Criteria <br />January 26,1995 Minutes <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Timothy Twomey called the second Public Hearing of the <br />Reading School Committee on the Superintendent Selection Criteria to <br />order in the Reading Memorial High School lecture hall at 3:35 p.m. Tim <br />Twomey, Robin D'Antona, Matt Cummings, and George Shannon were <br />present. Susan Cavicchi was expected to arrive later. Also present was <br />Assistant Superintendent Dennis Richards. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />The following documents made available to the audience: <br />Superintendent Evaluation Policy, Superintendent Evaluation Form, <br />Superintendent Job Description and the 1994 -1995 School Committee <br />Goals. <br />The following documents made available to the audience: <br />Superintendent Evaluation Policy, Superintendent Evaluation Form, <br />Superintendent Job Description and the 1994 -1995 School Committee <br />Goals. <br />The following is a summary of the comments made at the meeting. <br />The superintendent should be a person who is: Proactive on Per <br />Pupil Spending, An Advocate for Technology, Our Most Able Students and <br />Site Based Management, A Person who has High Expectations, Active in <br />Professional Organizations, Keeping Up with the Latest, Published, Here <br />for the Long Term. <br />
