READING SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />Regular Session November 15, 1999 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />At 6:35 p.m. Chair Dahl called the meeting to order in the RMHS Guidance Center. <br />Present were School Committee members Cavicchi, Dahl, Keigley, Twomey and <br />Williams. Also present were Superintendent Harutunian, Associate Superintendent <br />Richards and Town Manager Hechenbleikner. <br />CHAIRMAN'S REPORT <br />Chair Dahl asked for a reconfirmation of the vote taken on October 22, 1998 approving <br />the selection of Option B. <br />At 6:40 p.m. Mr. Twomey made a motion to reconfirm the School Committee's <br />vote of October 22, 1998 approving the selection of Option B. Ms. Williams <br />seconded the motion. The vote was 5 -0 Ms. Cavicchi, Mr. Dahl, Mr. Keigley, Mr. <br />Twomey and Ms. Williams. <br />SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT <br />Dr. Harutunian reported that the Reading Memorial High School has reported three <br />confirmed cases of whooping cough. A letter was sent to parents with the suggestion <br />that students be re- inoculated at age 13. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />At 6:45 p.m. Ms. Cavicchi made a motion to go into Executive Session for the <br />purpose of considering the lease or value of real property and to discuss strategy <br />relevant to those negotiations. The School Committee would not be returning to <br />regular session. Mr. Keigley seconded the motion. The vote was 5 -0 Ms. Cavicchi, <br />Mr. Dahl, Mr. Keigley, Mr. Twomey and Ms. Williams. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Harry K. Harutunian, Ph.D. <br />Superintendent of Schools <br />
