General Business
Town of Reading
Meeting Minutes
Bob explained that the Board of Selectmen wanted to take a step back on our building and look
at the total DPW situation, given the supposed value of the present Newcrossing Road of $25
million, and if there is a site where it can be moved to.
Bob noted that with a lull, the crew was able to place lot markers at Wood End. He also advised
the Board that he may run over budget in landscaping and may require a transfer.
Bob updated the Board on the present building, stating he spent $2,500 on repairs of doors, etc.
He also told the Board that he rented a storage building for the seasonal equipment, and that he
purchased a new larger trailer and that a new foreman's truck should be along soon.
Receipts are running at about $120,000 for the year which will be the norm, because of the
increase in cremations as opposed to full burials.
Bill Brown did a show and tell with scale models of Laurel Hill and Forest Glen.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM. The next meeting of the Trustees will be Tuesday, October
8, 2013.
Respectfully submitted,
/11,e-e,- G /31,
William C. Brown
Secretary
Page 1 2
