READING SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> Reading, Massachusetts <br /> REGULAR SESSION January 5, 2000 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chair Dahl called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. in the Superintendent's Conference <br /> Room. Present were School Committee Members Cavicchi, Dahl, Keigley, Twomey and <br /> Williams. Also present were Superintendent Harutunian, Associate Superintendent <br /> Richards and Town Manager Hechenbleikner. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION • <br /> At 7:06 p.m. Ms. Cavicchi made a motion to enter into executive session for the <br /> purpose of conducting strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with the <br /> Teachers' Association, Custodians and Maintenance Workers, Cafeteria Employees, <br /> Association of Secretaries and Clerks, Educational Assistants, Nurses and to discuss <br /> the possible sale or lease of real estate to return to regular session at approximately <br /> 7:30 p.m. The vote was 5-0 Ms. Cavicchi, Mr. Dahl, Mr. Keigley, Mr. Twomey and <br /> Ms. Williams. <br /> CALL BACK TO ORDER <br /> At 7:37 Chair Dahl called the meeting back to order. <br /> Ms. D'Antona arrived at 7:37 p.m. <br /> Chair Dahl welcomed Finance Committee Members LaLacheur and McDonald, Town <br /> Accountant Richard Foley and members of the budget parents and the audience to the <br /> meeting. <br /> HIGHLIGHTS <br /> Dr. Harutunian advised that the artwork displayed in the School Committee room was the <br /> work of the Coolidge Middle School. Dr. Harutunian showed a video made by students <br /> of the Coolidge Middle School giving a tour of the new facility. <br /> Dr. Harutunian advised that he would be scheduling a School Committee meeting at the <br /> Coolidge Middle School so the Committee and members of the public would have an <br /> opportunity to view the new facility. <br /> CITIZENS' INPUT <br /> There was no citizen input. <br />
