By -Law Minutes #113 <br />July 6, 1987 <br />embers present: Ed Murphy, George Theophanis, Nils Nordberg, Doloris Carroll <br />and Phil Pacino <br />7:25 Meeting called to order in the employees' lounge in Town Hall <br />Chairman Murphy introduced Ted Cohen, legal counsel for the Town. Discussion <br />followed on the Bylaw changes made previously. Mr. Cohen answered specific <br />areas of concern as follows: <br />Art XI- Council on Aging does have the right to appoint their clerk by <br />state statue <br />Art XXIV -Defer any action until the entire personnel bylaw is rewritten <br />Art XXV- Article is in conformity with legal requirements <br />A discussion of the presentation to Fall Town Meeting was then pursued with <br />Mr. Cohen. It was the consensus of the committee that an omnibus type of <br />presentation be made. Mr. Cohen agreed to draft the appropriate motion <br />for Town Meeting. Mr. Cohen then departed. <br />The committee then reorganized for the coming year. After proper nomination <br />and election procedures the committee's officers are: <br />Chairman - Ed Murphy <br />Clerk - Phil Pacino <br />(W Changes in the Bylaws made at the last meeting were then reviewed. <br />At the request of the Town Clerk's office it was agreed that a meeting <br />should be held to coordinate the plans of the Bylaw Committee with the <br />resources available from the Town Clerk's office for the Fall Town Meeting. <br />Chairman Murphy will set up this meeting. <br />8:50 Meeting adjourned to reconvene at 7:30 Wednesday August 19, 1987 <br />Respectfully submitted <br />Philip B.
