Bylaw Minutes #114 <br />August 19, 1987 <br />Members present: Ed Murphy, George Theophanis, Nils Nordberg, Doloris Carroll <br />and Phil Pacino. <br />7:40 Meeting called to order in Room 16 of the Town Hall <br />Chairman stated that members of the committee met with the Town Clerk's <br />office on Friday August 14. Chairman Murphy reviewed with the committee <br />the results of that meeting. <br />The committee discussed the new Budget Presentation committee as set up at <br />the Spring Town Meeting. After-Mscussion the committee selected Phil <br />Pacino as its representative to the new committee. <br />The committee reviewed changes in the bylaws made at its last meeting. <br />The committee then reviewed the changes made in the bylaws by the Town Clerk's <br />office and agreed to the changes. <br />The committee then reviewed a letter received from Peter Hechenbleikner, the <br />Town Manager, on additional changes that he felt should be made to the <br />bylaws. After discussion of each item the committee agreed to the following <br />changes: <br />Art I section 8 change reference from Planning Board to Community Planning <br />(W and Develoement Commission <br />Art XXII Change reference from Dog Officer to Animal Control Officer <br />Delete in section 1, 3rd paragraph "the Board of Selectmen and /or ", <br />"Dog" in 1st sentence and "The Dog Officer or the Board of Selectmen, <br />as the case may be" in 2nd sentemce. Add a comma after Officer in the <br />1st :sentence and "who" before shall in the 2nd sentence. <br />Art XXIV section 2 add reference to charter in 1st paragraph <br />Art XXIV section 7 (a) 6th paragraph Change Cheif Executive Officers with <br />Division Heads, change Superintent of Cemeteries to Cemetery <br />Director and added Veteran's Agent and Conservation Administrator <br />Art III setion 5 left open pending review of applicable state statues <br />9:32 Committee adjourned to meet at 7:30 on September 23, 1987 <br />Repectfully submitted, <br />Philip B.
