Minutes of the Board of Library Trustees Meeting Monday, February 11, 2013 Present David Hutchinson, Chair; Richard Curtis, Vice Chair; Alice Collins, Secretary; Cherrie Dubois; Andrew Grimes; Vicki Yablonsky', Amy Lannon, Asst. Director, Ruth Urell Library Director. Karen Herrick, FINCOM Meeting called to order at 7:07p.m. .Approval of Minutes. February 4, 2013 (V.. Yablonsky /A. Collins) Minutes approved unanimously Financial Report (R. Urell) FY2013 budget on track with active spending for" Science is Everywhere" grant. Ms. Urell noted that State Aid is being held for self - checkout system Also, the library is using the revolving fund for replacement of lost, damaged, and missing materials. Highland School Celebration Day / Library Open House will use funds from a donation account. However the library has also applied for a Celebration Trust grant to offset costs for this event. Library Building Project A. Collins and A. Grimes reported on campaign activities. A. Lannon presented Trustees with drafts of public information postings for library website and social media sites. Trustees offered corrections, comments and recommendations for additional postings. Trustees reviewed that public information is currently available on the library website. Older working documents need to be clearly noted, possibly annotated for clarification. Trustees will review and provide any appropriate notations. Library Building Committee (R. Urell) Ruth Urell provided documentation regarding the background of the proposed building committee. Ms. Urell presented information from extensive discussion with Facilities Director and Reading resident/retired Project Manager about roles and responsibilities of staff, professionals, contractors, and boards and committees involved with proposed library building project. Trustees discussed draft and made recommendations. Ms. Urell will send revised document to Trustees for approval within a week.
