Reading Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 22, 2012 <br />-R 'EIVED <br />TOWN CLERK <br />READING, MtNss- <br />2Ult NOV -8 P W. 13 <br />�Lynn Cassinari called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. on October <br />22, 2012 at the Reading Public Library. Present were: Lynne Cassinari, Peggy <br />Caouette, Eileen Collins, Lorraine Horn, Nancy Snow and Jacalyn Shelton Wallace. In <br />the absence of Secretary Colleen O'Shaughnessy, Eileen Collins took the minutes. <br />The minutes of the September 10, 2012 were read and approved. <br />The President reminded Council members to take the MCC training before the next <br />meeting in order for us to maintain streamlined status. <br />Peggy Caouette presented the Treasurer's Report of September 10, 2012. A discussion <br />on unencumbered funds of $10.37 and interest of $62.75 remaining in the account <br />followed. It was decided to transfer $10.37 to the Admin and Interest account. The <br />Treasurer reported that we are awaiting four more reimbursement requests from last <br />year's grantees. <br />The Council unanimously voted to allocate $194.48 to Administration for FY 2013. <br />Grant applications were distributed to Council members for review prior to interviews <br />with applicants on November 5. Council members were urged to review the MCC Tool <br />Kit on Evaluating Grants. <br />Lorraine Horn noted that she will be vacating the Vice Chair position soon and the <br />Council needs a successor. Duties include assisting the Chair in responding to MCC <br />requests for information, sending out agendas and minutes, writing the annual report <br />and entering data into the MCC on -line system as well as fielding questions about grant <br />applications. She urged members to consider taking on the responsibility of Vice Chai <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm <br />Next meeting will be held at the Reading Library in the Large Conference Room from <br />7:00 to 8:30 p.m. <br />Minutes submitted by Eileen Collins <br />
