D <br />Reading Cultural Council Minutes <br />November 5 2012 Reading Public Library Small Conference Room <br />2011 DrEi - b A 10. 13 <br />The meeting began at 7:05 P. M. Present were Lynne Cassinari, Lorraine Horn, Peggy Caouette, <br />Eileen Collins, Nancy Snow Dockser, Colleen O'Shaughnessy, Jacalyn Shelton Wallace, Catherine <br />Folan, Donna Schenkel. <br />The last two women are interested in filling seats on the council. <br />The meeting began with introductions around the table followed by interviews of the <br />applicants: <br />Jennifer Hart of Creative Arts <br />Alex Lachmayr and Lucinda Ellert of the Civic Band <br />Nancy Perkins, Memoir Writing <br />Marianne Tompkins, Barrows Elementary School field trip to Symphony <br />Kate Jenkins of Community Singers <br />Jeanette Corbett of Reading Art Association <br />Fran Sansalone and John Sullivan of the Ivy Cord Coffee House <br />Peter Stickel of Standing Room Only <br />Pam Denning of Colonial Chorus <br />Linda Snow Docks of Musical Healing <br />Kate Zanino from Eaton Elementary School, Poetry Can Be Fun <br />Lorraine Horn then relayed email messages and phone messages from applicants who could not <br />attend the interviews. <br />The council members were advised to come prepared to vote on applications at the next <br />meeting December 3. <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously accepted. <br />Lynne Cassinari said the New England Ballet School had offered the council free tickets and she <br />asked what we should do with them. She will check into the value of the tickets and report back <br />to us. <br />A sample Disapproval Letter and Score Sheet for Evaluating grants were distributed, and we <br />were asked to consider them as we make our decisions.
