Committee, Karen Janowski, School Committee Liaison, <br />Mary Ellen Stolecki, Recreation Committee Member, Richard Hand, Recreation Committee <br />Member, Kate Kaminer, Rec. Committee Member, John Feudo, Recreation Administrator <br />Guest: Pete Coumounduros <br />James Bonazoli, BOS <br />F. Driscoll called the meeting to order at 7:19PM. <br />M. Stolecki made a motion to accept the minutes from the February 14th Rec. Committee meeting. <br />R. Hand seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor of accepting the minutes for February 14th, <br />2012 by a vote of 5 — 0- 0. <br />J. Feudo informed the committee that Program Coordinator Jim Sullivan would be leaving his <br />position on April 17th. Jim had a very good opportunity in Marblehead that he could not turn down. <br />J. Feudo stated he will start the search process to fill the position immediately. K. Kaminer and F. <br />Driscoll volunteered to be part of that process. <br />J. Feudo stated that committee would need to hold a public hearing to set the fees for the amplified <br />sound permits. The committee stated that would like to have that happen in May. The committee <br />had a discussion regarding what the proposed fee would be. K. Kaminer mentioned that much of <br />the discussion surrounding the fees during the ad hoc amplified sound committee meetings were <br />around $100 per permit. This was based on the administrative time that will go into posting the <br />permit as well as serve as a deterrent for multiple requests. K. Kaminer made a motion to <br />recommend the fee for amplified sound permits be $100 per permit subject to discussion and <br />decision of the public hearing. M. Stolecki seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor of the <br />motion by a vote of 5 — 0 - 0. <br />J. Feudo presented the topic of concussions in youth sports. He stated he is working on an <br />educational program for concussions. The committee discussed the MIAA and CDC policies. <br />M. Stolecki said she would like to know what other Town's and Cities are doing to educate there <br />organizations. She also stated it would make sense to get Town Counsel to review any final policy. <br />F. Driscoll recommended asking all youth organizations to use the MIAA policy as a guideline and <br />to encourage youth coaches to watch the free video available on the MIAA website. <br />
